The location of the hotel is not the happiest, being located at the farthest end of the Schonbrunn Park, with access to the subway, but extremely far from the center of Vienna. Most probably the hotel is rated at 4 stars due to the special architecture and the opulent interior of the public spaces. Otherwise, the rooms are not extremely generous in terms of space, especially for double occupancy, nor do they excel with an extraordinary view, although this is promised. And I can confirm this because I was moved to three different rooms, on different floors and in different buildings during check-in, due to some errors by the reception staff. Also, the cleanliness in the room left much to be desired during the entire stay (5 days). And I've rarely seen a bathroom so minimalistic, especially for a hotel with a 4-star claim. I really have the impression that I was offered a lower room than the one I paid for. A positive aspect was the breakfast, generous, tasty, varied and beautifully presented. And a big bonus, I would note the extremely positive and energetic presence of the one who served at the omelette station, in opposition to the bored and slightly unprofessional attitude of the reception staff. I will definitely choose another hotel on my next trip to Vienna.

Just returned from a five night break at the Trend Schonbrunn in a classic twin, room only basis.. fabulous hotel and location.. 5 min walk to line 4 U bahn. Over the road from Schonbrunn Palace.. really nice area and felt quite safe walking around at night time. We were received warmly by the staff, room was clean with very comfortable beds and pillows. Towels were a little thin and mine had a hole in it, just need housekeeping to keep checks on the quality a bit more. Room had a nice view overlooking the courtyard garden, with seating and hammocks.. we had an evening meal in the front coffee shop, which was very nice.. veal schnitzel.. As we arrived mid evening on Monday we were disappointed the bar was closed.. But we did have a night cap there the rest of the week, the bar man was very friendly and gave us great service.. Would definitely recommend staying at the Parkhotel Schonbrunn and hope to visit again in the future.

Location is great, park is across the street, neighbourhood is nice with restaurants. Building is beautiful and unique. All staff members were friendly, helpful and polite. Inner garden is pretty nice. Room was ok, toilet is very small, you can not close the door from inside without some gymnastics. Bathtub is extremely hard and dangerous to climb in due to some glass wall pisitioning, the bathtub tap and showerhead can not be reached from out of the tub. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. Bar was good too. Parking is possible in the public garage next door, 40 eur a day, tiny places and very full. We will use this hotel next time in Vienna again.

Great location and even better staff. For a trip revolving round the Schonbrunn Palace this was the place to be. Hotel is just getting a little tired but not really a problem as we just needed a sensible base to use. The staff were fantastic - friendly, helpful and most spoke really good English which certainly helped. Bar was comfortable with prices not particularly loaded as so often is the case in nice hotels. The restaurant was also worth a couple of visits and the breakfast was a real problem - just too good! All in all definitely well worth the money and wouldn’t hesitate to return when next in Vienna.

very enjoyable stay, room was well furnished with an excellent view over the Schönbrunn park and gardens. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We had dinner at the adjoining cafe, service was again very friendly and competent, the food was traditional and delicious. Another plus point was the location, the hotel is literally 2 minute walk to the nearest metro station for a 15 minute journey into the center of Vienna, also well located to local shops and restaurants. Excellent value for money, can highly recommend.
